Castle DiThon

The seat of power in the fiefdom, this four-story keep sits on the southern shore of the island having survived the Cataclysm (though found itself coastal rather than land-locked). It’s a grand example of old Ergothian architecture, visible from the village of Thonvil, and hosts a spectacular Temple to Habbakuk just inside it’s main gate.

Castle DiThon is home to a white-robed mage named Bram DiThon – a favoured apprentice of Par Salian, head of the Conclave of High Sorcery – though local legend tells that the mage shares his home with fairy folk.

DiThon Fiefdom

Situated on the southern coast of the island, this fiefdom was once an honoured part of the empire, it’s lord paying homage to the Emperor. After the Cataclysm it was reduced in size to only include Castle DiThon, the village of Thonvil and the Monolith (also sometimes known as Stonecliff). The fiefdom’s eastern border reaches to Huldre Bay, but the exact location of the western border is not certain. The fiefdom retains much of it’s Ergothian culture though, except that it specializes more in mounted combat than trained legions, and is famed for it’s cavaliers.

The Emperor in Gwynned has long considered the fiefdom under their authority, but it has been effectively autonomous for centuries, ruled by it’s own lord – the most recent of which is the newly appointed Bram Dithon, who has trained as a white-robed mage at the Tower of High Sorcery in Wayreth.

After his father crippled the family with debt, Bram has led a revival of the fiefdom, coming to the attention of the Emperor of Ergoth as he battled to save his people from the Medusa Plague.

Bram DiThon

The current lord of the DiThon Fiefdom was initially trained in the ways of war, but very early shifted his focus as his family noticed his aptitude for magic. He went to Wayreth to train, and returned at only age sixteen to assume stewardship of the fiefdom, quickly righting the crippling debt that his father had created and fixing the agricultural problems across his domain.

Years later, after battling a renegade mage who had spread a terrible plague through the region, Bram discovered that his mother was actually a fae – one of the Tuatha Dundareal.

Bram remains young, and continues his training as a wizard, even coming to the attention of Par-Salian and being invited to apprentice under the archmage. He is extremely intelligent, wise beyond his years, and will a deep yearning to do good, and to do right by his people.
