Fort Ogaral

The swampland of the Ogaral Province has only one noticeable structure – a ruined fort that sits offshore on Serpent Isle. Once the largest and mightiest citadel in the empire, the Cataclysm destroyed most of it and washed large parts away leaving only one of it’s towers clinging onto the side of the rocky island.

The ruins fortress and remaining tower are home to a Naga known to the Trolls of Ogaral Swamp as Tiragna. She is rumoured to foretell the future, and to trade the use of her sorcerous powers in exchange for sacrifices or gems. A few other Humanoids have visited the isle and traded with Tiragna, and claim that her prophecies are unerring, and that she prefers Dwarves Goblins, Kender of Sea Elves as her victims.

Ogaral Swamp

Ogaral is a small province that other residents of Northern Ergoth prefer to keep their distance from, especially as it contains no settlements of any kind, nor even ruins or mystic sites. All it has are the occasional partially submerged lairs of Trolls, made up of makeshift shelters surrounded by the scattered bones of the Troll’s victims.

The Trolls who live in this region are divided into two main tribes, both of whom are ruled by a Naga who lives in Fort Ogaral. At every full moon, every Troll in the swamp gathers at the north-eastern shore and swims across the channel to the fort where they stay for three full days, during which time passing ships have reported eerie howls and haunting cries that join together in a bizarre song of pain. Whatever foul ritual this is, no-one has ever discovered, nor even had the courage to find out.
