Landfall

North-west of Gwynned, this coastal fortification is built around an ancient Gnomish tower of unknown origin. According to local legend, the tower marks the spot where the Gnomes first set foot in Ansalon during their quest to retrieve the Greygem, the town even taking it’s name from that legend. The tower – being Gnomish in design – is filled with gears, levers, pistons and other pieces of machinery that have suffered many centuries of salty dampness and become fused into an unworkable mess.

When the Solamnians established their presence in Sancrist in 1770PC, the Empire of Ergoth erected fortifications\ around the tower as a defensive station against Solamnian invasion, and even after the Cataclysm the garrison there was maintained as a last-ditch outpost. This contributed towards the eventual defeat of the Ackalite rebels.
