Bazin
Standing alongside the Old Coast Road south of Tarsis, this old town of stone buildings was once famed and prosperous for a series of natural hot springs close by reputed for their healing properties. Since the Cataclysm however these springs have dried up, and most have fled the region for better lands. Only a few of the old families remained, and over the years the abandoned areas of the village have become occupied by all manner of bandits and malcontents.
With plenty of empty buildings and without proper authorities to keep bad elements away, Bazin became an excellent place for criminals to shelter, the remaining old families finding themselves being “corrected” into servitude.
The town is ruled by a bandit warlord called Kirakas who has managed to assert authority and control over the other bandits, offering mutual protection for all those who come to reside in his town. So long as others pay him his rightful tithe (and a nominal fee for passing through the town gates), his troops keep hunters and law enforcers out of Bazin and even keep order on the streets.
