Stone Rose

North-east of Tarsis, this village was once a center for trade for many farming villages in the region, but now it is nothing more than a meeting place for those who wish to be unseen by the wider world. Bandits, nomads and outcasts gather here for trade and company, meeting amongst the old village’s few surviving stone buildings. There is little here of great interest, other than scoundrels and black marketers who might stock stolen goods or who might have news from around the continent, past through multiple unreliable sources and social outcasts.

The centerpiece of the village was and still is an acre of land in the village’s center in which a labyrinth of stone modeled as rose bushes winds through a garden of similarly stone roses, a grand set of topiary dragons and griffins standing watch over it. No-one quite knows how this garden came to be, with legends ranging from the spells of master wizards to the work of a mad artisan in honor of his love.
