The World Tree

North-east of the ruins of Wallach stands a single vallenwood tree hundreds of feet high, known to locals of the plains as either The World tree or the Grandfather Tree. It is surprisingly that a tree could grow so large and strong given the desolate conditions in the plains, yet this vallenwood has thrived despite it all, growing so large that it takes one hundred men to surround it with linked arms.

Legend tells that the tree is in fact a physical manifestation of Zivilyn, god of wisdom and enlightenment, and that it grants visions upon those worthy few who meditate in it’s shadow. These visions it is claimed always help a person who order their mind and discover the answers to puzzles that have confounded them for some time. The tree is so revered by the plains tribes, especially the centaurs, that is often used as a key meeting place where the most important matters are discussed and decided upon. _
