Potter's Mill

This small village sits at the western edge of the Vingaard Mountains. Mostly uninteresting, it sees a small amount of trade with the rest of Coastlund, and has a small tavern, an inn and trading post arrayed around a central town square, though the most important building to the residents is the House of Shemnara, their unofficial leader. Prior to the War of the Lance, Potter’s Mill was under the control of a bandit lord named Gadion. He would regularly pass through from his home in Citadel of Karoc-Tor, demanding tribute in food and coin from the villagers. With none able to stand up to him, Gadion has claimed what he wanted with impunity.

Since the beginning of the war however, many of the villages young people have volunteered for military service, joining up with the defenders of Solamnia. Talk among the locals is that when the young return, they will be trained fighters used to resisting the rule of oppressive forces. Then, perhaps, there might be someone capable of defending Potter’s Mill from Gadion.

Shemnara's House

A larger house than the rest of Potter’s Mill, the seer Shemnara is a devote of Mishakal, as announced by the infinity symbol placed above her door. Within, Shemnara uses a potion made from the milky fluid of the Dragon’s Well to prophecy the future, and if consulted can tell people much about the road ahead of them.
