Road of Time

Sitting in The Mad Sands about 20 miles northwest of Khimel, a coil of earth and rock rises from the flat terrain, the spiral creating a causeway 10ft wide that loops around to a flat plateau upon which stands a stone arch. The only feature for miles around, the Road of Time is visible from great distances. At night, bright auroras light the sky above it – lights dancing in the sky for miles around.

Considered a holy site of Solinari, this arch was often consulted in previous ages by mages and scholars who came to research it’s powers of divination and transformation. It is widely believed that those who walk the road or who tough the stone arch can sometime receive prophetic visions from Solinari – though others have said that the visions they have received were overly surreal and often meaningless. Some have reported the visions coming as flashes that grow stronger and more surreal as they climb higher, and that at night some of those visions have even manifested within the aurora.

The stone arch stands 30ft tall and leads nowhere, but when Solinari is in High Sanction the arch shines like silver, and the space inside of it shimmers lightly. This is one of the gateways to the mystical site of Bastion.

While the portal is open however, two creatures also manifest to guard the gateway – a pair of astral Devas.
