Krynn's Vanguard finished their visit to Manic before heading to Dupre. There wasn't much to note in the mining village. Krynn's Vanguard stopped for the night and rested.
After some diliberation and gathering some intel, the party decided to not check out the rumors of treasure in Fav since it seems that any goblin party that had gone there had not returned for some mysterious reason or another. Instead, the party made way for Raekel's Pit, which only took a day and a half to travel to on foot.
At Raekel's Pit, the party met an interesting character by the name of Marius Caelum. He claimed to be from Garreg Mach Monastery, a place right outside Gwynned which was the headquarters of The Knights of Seiros, The Church of Seiros, and their Officers' Academy. He was apparently sent to investigate Raekel's Pit and the ongoings there. He stayed behind as the party continued on their travels.
In the following days, the party made their way through the Citadel of Magius, a structure now in ruin only showing signs of disturbance from local wildlife and natural weathering. In New Winterholm, the only thing of note was the change in the racial composition of the settlement. Much more prominently Erogthian (Human in Ergot). A mix of dwarves and gnomes as well as goblins also were in the settlement but there was a distinct lack of any Kender to be seen.
The party rested for the night and made their way to The Monolith. Observing the very much tourist-like attraction, Kyan casted Legend Lore and learned all there is to know about the structure (see The Monolith). The party then made way for Gwynned.
Without any trouble on the road, the party made their way to Gwynned where they stopped for a while to catch their breath. After doing so, their guide told them about Garreg Mach Monastary, and of the Emperor of the land and pointed out his castle.
The party forgo exploring Gwynned and headed to the monastery in search of clues to the next shard to The Crest of Paladine. The party found some info from exploring the library and also met with Archbishop Rhea. Before their meeting with Rhea, they were stopped by Claude Von Riegan and he introduced himself as the Leader of the Golden Deer House and the heir apparent to the Qualnesti settlement. He seemed to be very charming and somewhat carefree.
In their meeting with Rhea, some of the party met Seteth, Rhea's most trusted assistant. Although a bit untrusting and offstandish, Seteth followed Rhea's lead. Exchanging pleasantries, Rhea told the party about an adversary they'd been having issues with. They have no official name but have been named "Those Who Slither in the Dark". Seteth gave a quick run down of their history. Rhea wants the party to investigate and take down this organization, and team up with one of the houses and take them along, ensuring the students' safety of course.
