After resting, Krynn's Vanguard exited through the same door they came through to find themselves faced with a corridor that opened to 5 paths, One cave leading to darkness, another leading to a black spire, a curning cavern full of teeth, another maw-like cavern dripping with acid, and in the center, a path that spiraled down.
Being ever cautious, Krynn's Vanguard took the dark path and found themselves on a broken bridge suspended above what looked like a night sky with stars but no moon, and it wasn't the night sky of Krynn. After much debate, they all jumped in and were pulled into some odd dimension where the floor was just a never-ending path of 1-foot-by1-foot pavers.
Oddly enough, the party came across an archer they hadn't seen in quite some time. It seems Pryderion's spirit somehow got trapped here. After some conversation and realizing he never truly made it back to the afterlife, Armantaro cast Banishment to send him on his way.
They eventually came across a chest that was locked and had a false bottom revealing a path downwards. This path led back to the bridge, but on the other side. Making their way back, the party found that path closed.
They decided to go to the acid path, then the churning path. In both cases, they came across Vexithra, Queen of Slime and Venom, and Drukhanor, The Rending Maw. Members of the Abyssal Council. Takhisis also made an appearance, dispatching of Vexithra, and talking telepathically to the party when they encountered, and easily dispatched of Drukhanor explaining her reason for needing to get rid of the Abyssal Council. The Abyssal Council wanted to take over Krynn, and Takhisis is the rightful ruler who must crush all opposition with an iron fist. After all, Krynn only has room for one sovereign ruler. Her.
